OBJECTIVE:-

By the end of the chapter, students will be able to explain:-

  • Types of Artificial Intelligence
  • Artificial Narrow Intelligence
  • Artificial General Intelligence
  • Domain of Artificial Intelligence
  • Data Analyzing
  • Natural Language Processing

LESSON PLAN

(PERIOD-WISE DISTRIBUTION) OF COURSE

Period Allotted (2 Theory + 1 Practical)

Period 1:-   Define Artificial Intelligence (AI) as the simulation of human intelligence in machines. Discuss the two main types of Al:

  • Narrow Al: Explain that narrow Al is designed for specific tasks and can perform those tasks exceptionally well. Give examples like voice assistants, image recognition systems, and recommendation algorithms.
  • General Al: Describe general Al as the ability of a machine to understand, learn, and perform any intellectual task that a human being can do. Explain that this level of Al does not currently exist. Explain that Al is applied across various domains to solve complex problems. Provide examples of domains where Al is utilized: a. Healthcare, Finance, Transportation, Education.
  • Define language processing as the ability of Al systems to understand, interpret, and generate human language.

Period 2:-    Discuss the importance of language processing in Al systems:

  • Natural Language Processing (NLP): Explain how NLP enables machines to understand and interpret human language, enabling tasks such as sentiment analysis, language translation, and voice recognition.
  • Natural Language Generation (NLG): Describe NLG as the process of generating human-like text or speech. Give examples like chatbot responses, news article generation, and voice assistants.

Period 3 (Practical):-    Summarize the key points discussed in the lesson, including the types of Al, domains of Al application, and the significance of language processing. Encourage students to explore further resources and engage in real-world examples of Al in different domains. Address any remaining questions or concerns from the students.

Note:- The duration of each section can be adjusted based on the level of students and the available time. Including interactive activities or discussions throughout the lesson can enhance student engagement and understanding.

Let’s Power Up Your Project!

Face Detection -  This activity contains learning how to use computer vision tools to identify and locate human faces in images or video.
