LESSON PLAN 

(PERIOD-WISE DISTRIBUTION) OF COURSE


Period Allotted (2 Theory + 1 Practical)


Period 1:-    Explain that charts are visual representations of data, which help us understand and analyze information more easily. Discuss the importance of charts in presenting data effectively.. Discuss the components Of Charts (Axes, Axis titles, Chart titles, Data labels, data table, Data bars, Gridlines, etc). Explain the common types of charts such as column charts, line charts, pie charts, and bar charts. Discuss the purpose and appropriate use of each chart type.

Highlight the importance of selecting the most suitable chart type for specific data.

Period 2:    Explain the various Steps involved in creating a chart. Discuss Sorting of data, Its types and Custom sorting. Briefly explain the steps of every topics related to it. Explain the various customization options available for the chart, such as titles, axis labels, and colors. Emphasize the importance of labeling and titling the chart for clarity. Explain how to filter the data in MS Excel 2016 And the steps to filter the data.

Period 3 (Practical):- Encourage students to practice creating and modifying charts using Excel 2016 on their computers. Provide handouts with exercise data for additional practice (optional).

Notes:- The time allocation for each section is approximate and can be adjusted based on the pace of the class. Additionally, it's advisable to adapt the lesson to suit the specific needs and abilities of the students.

1.Excel Charts - This activity contains learning how to create charts to visually represent data such as bar, line, or pie charts.

2.Excel Sorting -  This activity contains learning how to arrange data in ascending or descending order based on text, numbers, or dates.

3.Excel Filter -  This activity contains learning how to display only specific data in a worksheet based on set criteria using filters.
