Period Allotted (2 Theory + 1 Practical)
Period 1: - Define Al as the field of computer science that focuses on creating intelligent machines that can perform tasks without explicit human instructions. Share examples of Al applications they may be familiar with, such as virtual assistants, recommendation systems, and autonomous vehicles. Ask students to brainstorm the potential benefits and challenges of Al. Write their ideas on the board. Explain that Al raises various ethical considerations and challenges. Provide examples such as privacy concerns, job displacement, biased algorithms, and the impact on human decision-making. Explain the components of good Al Policy and Privacy.
Period 2:- Discuss the Advantages and Dis advantages of Al. As Ai is vast topic to debate on, but it is most important question in everyone's mind that whether Al is boon or Bane. Facilitate a class discussion by encouraging students to express their opinions, consider alternative viewpoints, and discuss possible solutions. If time permits, summarize the main points of the lesson and encourage students to continue exploring the topic of Al ethics independently. Provide additional resources, such as articles or videos, for students who want to delve deeper into the subject
Period 3(Practical):- Divide the class into small groups and assign each group one ethical consideration related to Al.
- In their groups, ask students to discuss the assigned ethical consideration, its potential impact on society, and any personal experiences or observations they can share.
Note:- Adapt the lesson plan as needed to suit the specific needs and time constraints of your class. Additional activities, discussions, or multimedia resources can be incorporated to enhance student engagement and understanding.
